Comments and reactions on events

Cloomba events have two places to chat: the event Comments tab and the comments / reactions on each media-wall post.

The event Comments tab

A single threaded discussion on the event itself — questions, logistics, post-event chatter. Confirmed attendees, organisers, and admins can post. The tab lives at /e/<slug>/comments.

You can mention other users with @username and use #tag hashtags — both are auto-linked.

Reactions and comments on media

In the media wall lightbox, every photo or video has its own comments and emoji reactions. Reactions show up as small badges on the wall tile too.

Real-time

Comments and reactions update live for everyone viewing the same event — no need to refresh. See Real-time updates for the wider story.

Organiser controls

In your event settings:

  • Comments locked — disables the event Comments tab entirely. Existing comments stay visible.
  • Reactions disabled — turns off the emoji reactions on media posts.

Organisers, admins, and moderators can also delete any comment or remove any reaction at any time — handy for spam or off-topic content.

Reporting

If a comment violates the Acceptable Use Policy, report it so we can review.
