Deleting Your Account

Updated 30 Sep 2026

Deleting your account

Deleting your Cloomba account is a serious step. Once erased under GDPR, your profile and personal data are removed and cannot be recovered.

Two deletion modes

  • Soft delete — your account is deactivated and you're signed out. You have a 30-day grace window to sign back in and reactivate it. After that, the account is permanently erased.
  • GDPR erasure — immediate permanent anonymisation. Used when you ask for the right to erasure under Article 17. Requires a recent sign-in for security.

Before you delete

  • Events you organize — delete every event you organize, or transfer it to someone else, first. An account that still organizes events can't be deleted. For an upcoming event with guests, cancel it before you delete it, so they are told.
  • Paid tickets — cancelling an event refunds every ticket paid by card automatically. Refund anyone who paid you directly yourself.
  • Your RSVPs — your future RSVPs no longer count once the account is deleted.

How to delete your account

  1. Open Account from the navigation
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
  4. Confirm your decision

You'll be signed out on all devices.

After deletion

  • Your public profile and username become unavailable
  • Emails sent to your address will no longer reach a Cloomba account
  • You can create a new account with the same email at any time — it starts completely fresh
