Using the waitlist

Updated 10 Jun 2026

The waitlist automatically queues guests when your event reaches capacity. You do not need to manage it manually — Cloomba handles the queue.

How it works

Set a capacity on your event. Once that number of confirmed guests is reached, new registrations go to the waitlist instead of being confirmed.

When a confirmed guest cancels their RSVP, the next person on the waitlist is automatically notified and offered the spot. They have a limited time to confirm before the spot moves to the next person in the queue.

Enabling the waitlist

The waitlist is active automatically whenever you set a capacity limit. There is no separate toggle — if your event has a cap and it is full, new registrations go to the waitlist.

Leave capacity blank if you do not want a limit and do not need a waitlist.

What guests see

When an event is full, the RSVP button shows a Join waitlist option. Guests who join the waitlist can see their position in the queue. They receive a notification as soon as a spot becomes available.

Managing the waitlist

You can see the full waitlist in your guest list under the Waitlist status. You cannot manually reorder the queue — spots are offered in the order guests joined.

If you increase the capacity of your event, guests at the top of the waitlist are automatically moved to confirmed.
