How to Promote Your Event

How to promote your event

A great event page is only useful if people find it. Here's how to get more eyes on your event.

Share the link directly

The fastest way to fill an event is to share it with people who already know you. Copy your event link and send it via messaging apps, email, or post it in relevant group chats and communities.

Post in relevant communities

Think about where your target audience spends time — Slack groups, Discord servers, Facebook groups, subreddits, LinkedIn groups, or local community boards. One well-placed post in the right community beats ten posts in random places.

Use your calendar

If you've created a Cloomba calendar, publish the event to it. Followers of your calendar get notified automatically — this is the most scalable way to build a recurring audience.

Leverage your existing audience

If you have a newsletter, social media following, or mailing list, announce the event there. Link directly to your Cloomba event page so RSVPs stay in one place.

Post early and remind closer to the date

Announce the event as soon as it's published. Then post a reminder 1–2 weeks before, and again a few days before. Many people intend to RSVP but forget — a well-timed reminder converts them.

Fill in every field on your event page

Events with a clear title, a well-written description, a cover image, and a defined location get more RSVPs. An incomplete page creates doubt. See Tips for a standout event page for more.
