Submitting an event to a calendar

Ενημερώθηκε 21 Σεπ 2026

Anyone signed in can submit a published, public event to a calendar that accepts submissions. The calendar's owner or an admin reviews it — nothing appears on the calendar without their yes.

Submitting an event

  1. Open the calendar's page and select Submit Event. The button is there when the calendar accepts submissions.
  2. The picker opens with your upcoming events. Type to search the rest, or paste the link of any public Cloomba event — it does not have to be yours.
  3. Pick up to 5 events and submit them in one step.

The calendar's owner and admins are notified. You can have up to 5 submissions waiting on one calendar at a time.

Drafts, unlisted events, and private events cannot be submitted. Listing puts an event on a public page and notifies the calendar's followers, so it has to be public already.

If you manage the calendar yourself (owner or admin), your additions skip the queue and go live on the calendar immediately.

What happens next

The reviewer can:

  • Approve — the event is listed on the calendar and its followers are notified. You get a notification too.
  • Reject — the event is not listed. You can submit it to a different calendar.

An approved event is a listing: it stays on its own home calendar, and the calendar it was submitted to only shows it. The event's organizer can end the listing at any time — see below.

If someone lists your event

When another calendar lists your event, you are notified, and the calendar shows under Also listed on on your event's manage page. Remove from calendar ends the listing for good — that calendar cannot list the event again. Only picking it as the event's home calendar in the event form can bring it back.

For calendar owners — managing submissions

Turn on Let others submit events in the calendar's settings. Submissions are off by default.

Incoming submissions appear in a queue behind the Submissions button on the Events tab of your manage page. Review each one and approve or reject. There is no deadline — submissions stay in the queue until you act on them.

Review is not optional: approving lists the event on your calendar and notifies every follower, so it never happens without you saying yes.

You can remove an approved event from your calendar at any time, even after followers were notified. If you turn submissions off while requests are still pending, the queue stays reachable until you have answered them.
