You're paying rent for an audience you don't have

Meetup bills you every month, and what you're buying is discovery. Outside a handful of large cities, that discovery is a few dormant accounts — while the people who actually turn up already know you from work, or a chat group, or the last event.

Count where people actually came from

It's worth ten minutes. Take your last three events and ask, for every person who showed up: did Meetup bring them, or did you? If the honest answer is that most of them came through a message you sent yourself — a chat group, a work channel, a mailing list — then the subscription isn't buying you an audience. It's hosting a page.

And the members were never yours

Whatever number sits on your group page, you can't take it with you. Meetup has restricted member export for years: you can't download the list, and you can't write to it outside their system. Every event you run there adds another name to a list that belongs to somebody else.

We'll be straight with you — no tool gets those members out, and ours doesn't either. That's the complaint, not a gap we're about to fill.

What you build here, you keep

Every sign-up lands in a guest list you can download any time. Give your group a calendar and people can follow it — each new date reaches them on its own, without re-inviting anyone. If you ever leave, the export button works the same on the way out.

So don't move your group. Stop feeding it.

There's no migration here and nothing to announce. Leave the Meetup listing exactly where it is and let it do whatever it does. Change one thing: where people sign up.

  1. 1Keep the listing

Your Meetup page stays up, same description, same date. Whatever discovery it gives you, you keep.

  2. 2Take sign-ups here

Point it at your cloomba event page. Everyone who signs up lands in a guest list you can download.

  3. 3Decide in six months

By then you'll know how many people Meetup really sent you. The renewal becomes an easy decision either way.

What changes for you

A guest list you can take

One click, full CSV — names, answers to your questions, who checked in. Yours to keep, and yours to delete.

No monthly fee

Free events cost nothing, and there's no subscription for the group. Paid tickets are 5% plus card processing.

Tickets that behave

Stripe with SEPA and VAT handled, coupons, waitlists, and approval before someone gets a place.

A page worth sending

Photos, comments, updates, and an agenda with speakers — not a listing that looks the way it did a decade ago.

In your language

The whole interface in each guest's own language, so nobody is reading English because they have no choice.

Something left afterwards

The shared photo wall stays up when the event ends. So does the page, the thread, and the guest list.

Bring an event over now

Paste a link to a Meetup event and we'll rebuild it here — cover, description, date, place. It arrives as a draft, so nothing is public until you say so.

  1. Plak je eventlink
  2. Meteen een voorbeeld bekijken
  3. Publiceren

More than a couple of events?

Send us your Meetup group and we'll move it over for you — every event, with its description, cover and date. It costs nothing. We'd rather you arrived with your history intact than with an empty page.
