Acceptable Use Policy

Bijgewerkt 11 Jun 2026

This policy sets out what is and is not allowed on Cloomba. It applies to all users — organisers, attendees, and anyone who interacts with the platform.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.

Events and content

Allowed:

  • Public and private events of any size — meetups, conferences, parties, workshops, performances, community gatherings.
  • Paid and free events, with or without registration questions.
  • Events with restricted attendance (invite-only, approval required, waitlisted).

Not allowed:

  • Events that promote or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Events that incite hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Events designed to defraud attendees — fake venues, misrepresented speakers, non-existent activities.
  • Events that violate third-party intellectual property rights (e.g. unauthorised use of licensed music, film screenings without a licence).
  • Adult content or events that sexualise minors in any way.

Accounts and identity

Not allowed:

  • Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension or ban.
  • Impersonating another person, organisation, or brand.
  • Sharing your account with others or using someone else's account.
  • Using automated tools to create accounts, scrape data, or interact with the platform at scale without written permission.

Communications

Not allowed:

  • Sending unsolicited commercial messages (spam) to attendees or other users.
  • Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users.
  • Sharing another user's private information without their consent (doxxing).
  • Using event updates or messages to distribute malware or phishing links.

Payments

Not allowed:

  • Collecting payments through Cloomba for events you do not intend to run.
  • Misrepresenting ticket prices, fees, or refund policies.
  • Attempting to circumvent Cloomba's payment processing or fees.
  • Using the platform to launder money or conduct fraudulent transactions.

Platform integrity

Not allowed:

  • Attempting to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorised to access.
  • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of our systems without prior written authorisation.
  • Interfering with the availability of the platform (e.g. denial-of-service attacks).
  • Reverse engineering or copying Cloomba's software or design.

If you see content or behaviour that violates this policy, please report it using the report function on the relevant event or profile, or email us at [email protected].

We review all reports and aim to respond within 2 business days.
