After the event: follow-up tips

What you do after the event is as important as the event itself. A good follow-up turns one-time attendees into regulars.

Say thank you

Post an event update thanking attendees for coming. It takes two minutes and leaves a lasting impression. Mention a highlight or two — a great talk, a moment that stood out. People like knowing their time was valued.

Share photos and videos

Upload photos from the event to the media wall. Attendees love seeing themselves and reliving the moment. It also gives you social content to share and shows potential attendees what future events look like.

Ask for feedback

If you want honest feedback, ask directly. A short message to attendees — "What did you like? What would you change?" — gets more useful responses than a formal survey. Note what comes up repeatedly.

Announce the next event

The best time to get someone to RSVP to your next event is right after a good one. If you know when it is, post it. If you don't, let attendees know to follow your calendar to be notified when you publish.

Review your guest numbers

Check how many people RSVPed versus how many showed up. A large gap usually points to something fixable — event time, location, or how early the reminder went out.

Build on what worked

Every event teaches you something. The ones that fill up quickly usually have a sharper title, a cleaner description, or a stronger community behind them. Double down on what worked.
