Language and locale settings
Cloomba's interface is available in many languages, with more added as the platform grows. User-generated content (event descriptions, comments, names) stays in whatever language the author wrote it in.
Switching the interface language
Use the language switcher in the top-right of any page, or pick a language during onboarding. Your choice is remembered across sessions.
What gets translated
- Buttons, labels, menus, error messages, and other UI strings
- Transactional emails (RSVP confirmations, reminders) — sent in your preferred language when we have a translation, falling back to English otherwise
What does NOT get translated
- Event titles, descriptions, and updates — they stay in whatever language the organiser wrote them in. Cloomba doesn't auto-translate anything people write. Descriptions are the one place an organiser can cover several languages by hand — see below.
- Comments and media captions — written by attendees, kept as-is.
Multilingual events
One event page can carry a description in several languages at once — each visitor reads the section matching their interface language, and you keep one page, one link, and one guest list. See writing a description in several languages.
Avoid creating two separate events for the same actual event.
Which languages are available
Open the language switcher to see the current list — it always shows exactly what is live. We add languages in line with where the user base is growing. If one you need is missing, let us know via contact us.
