What are calendars on Cloomba?

Aggiornato il 21 set 2026

A calendar is a public page where your events add up. People follow it, and each new event you add reaches all of them — the audience from your last event carries to the next one.

What calendars are for

Calendars work well for:

  • Recurring event series — a monthly meetup, a weekly class, a seasonal program
  • Organizations — a company, venue, or community that runs multiple events
  • Topic-based collections — all tech events in a city, all events from a festival

What is on a calendar page

Every calendar has its own public address on cloomba.com. The page shows:

  • The name, description, logo, and banner, with the home city and any links the organizer added
  • Upcoming and past events — as a list, or on a week, month, or day grid
  • The people behind it: organizers, speakers, and partners
  • Follow, and a feed menu to subscribe in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook, or by RSS
  • Membership tiers, when the calendar offers them
  • Submit Event, when the calendar accepts events from other organizers

How events get on a calendar

Every event has one home calendar. You pick it in the event form when you create or edit the event, or leave the event on your personal calendar. Beyond its home, an event can be listed on other calendars: a second calendar of your own, or someone else's calendar that collects events like yours. A listing only adds a place where the event shows up; the home calendar stays the one it belongs to.

Calendar owners and admins can also list events that happen outside Cloomba — a link, a date, and a place — so the calendar shows everything in one view.

Events from other organizers

A calendar can accept submissions: anyone signed in proposes a published, public event from the calendar's page, and the owner or an admin approves or declines each one. Nothing appears on the calendar — and no follower is notified — until it is approved. See Submitting an event to a calendar.

Following a calendar

Any Cloomba user can follow a calendar. Followers see its upcoming events in Following in their account and get a notification when a new event is added. Following a calendar does not register you for any event — you still register for each one individually. See Following a calendar.

Memberships

A calendar can offer membership tiers — free or paid, open to everyone or approved one by one. Members see members-only events on the calendar page and can buy members-only tickets. A member is always a follower too.

Writing to your followers

From the calendar's Newsletters tab, the owner or an admin can email everyone the calendar has reached: people who follow it, people who came to its events, and contacts added on the People tab. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and anyone can turn calendar newsletters off in their notification settings.

Calendars vs events

An event is a one-time thing with a date, a guest list, and a registration flow. A calendar is what accumulates around your events: followers who hear about each new date, and one page that shows everything you run. They work together — your events get more reach through your calendar, and your calendar grows as you add more events.

You can also put the calendar on your own website — see Embed your calendar on your website.
