Manual guest approval
Require approval gives you control over who gets into your event. Instead of confirming registrations automatically, guests submit a request and you approve or decline each one manually.
Enabling it
In the event editor, turn on Require approval. From that point on, any new registration goes into a pending state until you act on it.
Reviewing requests
Open the Guests tab on your event page. Pending requests appear at the top of the list. For each request you can see the guest's name and profile, and choose to Approve or Decline.
- Approve — the guest receives a confirmation and their spot is secured.
- Decline — the guest is notified that their request was not accepted. Their spot is released back to the pool.
Using approval with paid tickets
Approval works with paid events too. When enabled, guests request a spot first — you approve or decline — and only approved guests proceed to payment. This lets you vet attendees before any money changes hands.
Turning it off mid-event
You can disable Require approval at any time. Guests who are already pending will remain pending until you act on them — disabling the setting does not auto-approve them.
